The first thing you need to know about Hacketts pulled pork burger, is that its not a burger, its pulled pork. This was a step up from the last one I had. A burger formed by pulled pork. Well done Hacketts. It was a step up from my last visit !

Hacketts - Witney
When the sun starts to move, then move to Hacketts. We had company and had eaten, however Sam had not.
The Fleece - Witney
A warm sunny early Friday evening sat in one of the best outside seating locations in Witney, with views over church green. Sat in the sun was the main reason for sitting here today. The burger ( my choice ) was probably 8/10. usual good standard from The Fleece.
The Risotto was probably not the best in Witney, spring onions and fish. The Holly Bush takes the risotto price for me. Vegetarian at that. Still maybe it was an off day...
All' Angelo Italian Restaurant Witney - the real deal !
Its been a few months now that I have watched as the work has gone on to transform the Arzoo Indian, into, wait for it, an Italian .. fantastic !
I had thoughts that this maybe another pizza joint, or maybe the real deal.
The day came to try it on Wednesday, noticing it was signed to say it had opened. We walked up and realised it was bursting. The friendly staff asked if we had reserved, replying no, he managed to squeeze us in. The menu told the story, this is an Italian WITHOUT any Pizzas. The real deal, fantastic starters, pasta, large choice of risotto. This takes me back, we haven't had this in Witney for some time.
Aubergine starter was roasted to perfection, as good as you get at Meze in Witney.
The layout reminded us of House Wong. We were taken back to the Chinese that was finally closed down as it was know as much as an underage place to drink, rather than the food going back years.
The bruschetta was very good, as was the house wine.
Michelle ordered sea food spaghetti. Good choice was the reaction from the waiter. We could see why. It was served with a bit of theatre, in a bag, with an aroma of the sea when it was cut open at your table. I am not sea food lover, but the depth of flavour could easily convert me. I would say that was cooking at a high standard.
More table theatre !
No website yet,' they haven't got round to it' so they said .... judging by this I am not convinced they need one. I've been approached by a good handful of people on the streets about this place, on this basis you wont be disappointed !

lets eat ...
Eating out in the Cotswold market town in Witney ( and else where when we can ), used to be a thing we just did, keeping the experiences and memories to ourselves. Facebook and posting photos changed all of that ! The final straw came when after out meal our this week, we were stopped four times and asked about a new restaurant in town. What was it like, have I got the telephone number and so on. So, having spoken about this for sometime a blog it is !
Its going to be an honest account of what we like, or not so much, and sharing of experiences. Hopefully light hearted enough for you to follow .... lets eat ...
